Report: Siluanov sees bugdet deficit above 0.9% of GDP in 2022
MOSCOW, Sep 30 (PRIME) -- Russia’s budget deficit can exceed 0.9% of gross domestic product (GDP), Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said in an interview with Rossiya 1 television channel late on Thursday.
“You are right, the figure is likely to rise. We have new tasks appearing this year,” he said.
According to a draft budget, sent to the State Duma, parliament’s lower house, budget deficit is expected to reach 2% of GDP in 2023, 1.4% of GDP in 2024, and 0.7% of GDP in 2025.
